Can anyone assist me on my search for a picture of the Empire Betsey. my father spent time as crew and has no photographs, I can not find any on line. I've got the history, even a later one when she was renamed "Soegio" would be good.

Nice site, will be back to flick thru.

My Dad (Laurie Siggers) worked on the Thames with the Sun Tugs, Alexandra Towing Co. and a few others. So did my Uncle Alfred Siggers and been told that my mums brother in law (Norman Spiers) was the C/E onboard the Sunfish and lost his life doing his job

My Dad would like me to find a good picture of S.T. Turmoil and S.T. Cervia for his wall so if anyone can asisst that would be great - he also got a bit of paper stating that a book was written in the late 50s about the Turmoil? can anyone englighten me as to title etc...

ex-Royal Navy for my sins.

The book was called 'Turmoil' written by Ewart Brookes in 1956 and published by Jarrolds. It deals mainly with the Flying Enterprise saga.

I am looking to find somewhere I can find information about William Irwin who was an engineer on the tugs from about 1870 to 1920 aprox. I am sure that there must be crew lists and apprentice information on the internet somewhere. I would be grateful for any help.

I am compiling a life of my father Frank William Box Trinity House pilot. He was the survivor mentioned as mate of the Brittania when she was in collison with the Bazelgette in 1907. I seek information on the Constant family of Gravesend into which FWB married in 1016
